I have two dogs and thus can tell you, with some authority, that a truly fabulous dog bed (and by that I mean one that isn’t varying shades of neutral or plain ol’ preppy striped) is tough to find. Needless to say, I was super excited to discover Felix & Milou, a brand new dog bed line by Tove Jakobsson -huzzah! Finally, something with a little style!
Her cushions are all made by hand from lovely graphic Swedish fabrics. They’re sized for a cat or small dog, hopefully soon, a bigger size to come! I fear poor Indy is getting the shaft, being more in the medium to large range. But wouldn’t they make great floor cushions around a low table as well?
This is the one I purchased – a fabric by Cecilia Hall Åhlens that has a lovely Josef Frank vibe – beautifully made and adorable in person!
All the cushion covers are removable and washable. Check out the rest of her products here.
It’s officially Fashion Week and we’re gearing up for some major trend watching. Although we may not be hitting the runways any time soon, we’re constantly gathering inspiration from all the exotic textiles and handmade garments. With Fashion Week comes a wave of fashion focused blog posts and images. We’re really digging the tasteful and whimsical illustrations by artist Samantha Hahn. As a New York native, Samantha sees new fashion trends everywhere she goes. Her couture illustrations give a nod to the groundbreaking designers but keep within her own aesthetic and we’re loving her painterly style.
To view more of Samantha’s work, head over to her website and be sure to read her blog Maquette for insider designs and inspiration.

Let’s admit it: pant suits are no longer just for the mother of the bride or groom. Fashionable brides are rocking the separates and we give them major props. And who says a white dress is mandatory?
We’re all about feeling comfortable and looking yourself on your wedding day. If you’re going for total comfort and a classic silhouette, pants might be your thing. In all seriousness, who wouldn’t want to don this number by Valentino?
Would you wear pants to your wedding?

Hello all you lucky folks out there! This is the 72nd edition of our Lucky Friday Giveaway. Each Friday we feature one of our letterpress greeting cards. We’ll choose THREE LUCKY WINNERS to get a free card. Post a comment by 12 p.m. PST the following Thursday, and we’ll announce the winners on the following Friday!
The winners from last week are (drum roll, please): Jackie G, Land and Sarah M! We’ll contact you next week to arrange sending your 1st Birthday card.
Design: Très Chic
Artist: Julia Rothman
Inspiration: We’d been clutching onto some old ideas, but we just had to buckle down, strap in, compartmentalize and get a handle on it.
Who to send it to: Someone suave as suede, luxurious as spanish leather, and very well put together. Or, maybe just someone who has a lot of baggage.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: The “Old Pairs of Jeans” card wasn’t too flattering, and the bomber jackets and cargo pants cards didn’t have the same je ne sais quoi.
Favorite detail: Ooh, definitely the subtle spring green patterns.
Why letterpress? Did I hear someone say “leatherpress?”
Don’t forget to post your comment and tune in next week, same time, different stationery, to see if you’ve won!
Yesterday was an exciting day for one of our favorite bridal sites Style Me Pretty! They just released their brand-spankin-new bridal fashion and beauty e-magazine and it’s gorgeous. The talented and bridal savvy ladies over at SMP curated a lovely 171 pages of pure bridal bliss. From DIY projects to real weddings, the online publication is the ultimate online destination for wedding inspiration. It includes a beautiful feature on Jennifer Behr’s stunning headpieces and style guides by our favorite bloggers. Congratulations to SMP! We can’t wait to see more!

Lotta Jansdotter is unstoppable. Her books have made printmaking at home a cinch and her modern patterns and fabrics have taught us that simplicity is everything. Sadly her shop is being put on hold to welcome new adventures but this is [somewhat] happy news for us because her genius collection of clothing and accessories is on sale! Why not help Lotta with some spring cleaning and make room for new and improved awesomeness. But don’t hesitate cause this amazing sale is only lasting until June 22.
These 100% linen tote bags are sure to make a statement. Our favorite is this anemone pattern but there are more to choose from.
Is it too early to make a holiday wish list? This skirt would sit right at the top!
These crayon rolls would make for a darling children’s gift, or if you’re the creative type use it to carry your favorite pencils/pens!
Keep up the lovely work, Lotta. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next! View the entire shop here.
It’s safe to say bow ties are trending right now. From seersucker to printed patterns, a crisp tie on a guy (or girl!) is definitely a score. These reversible bow ties by April Look are taking this trend to a new level. With one tie you get two different looks – subtle and charming or bold and bright.
