The girls at the Collection Event Studio recently visited our SoMa studio and shared a behind the scenes glimpse into the bustling world of Hello!Lucky! We love to browse their blog for creative inspiration, and are always amazed by their stunning collection of wedding and event resources. They snapped such lovely photos of our office, here are some of our favorites:

Hello all you lucky folks out there! This is the twenty-third edition of our Lucky Friday Giveaway! Each Friday we feature one of our letterpress cards. We’ll choose THREE LUCKY WINNERS to get a free card.  Post a comment by 12 p.m. PST the following Thursday, and we’ll announce the winners on the following Friday!

The three winners from last week are (drum roll, please):

Darilyn, Sherri N and Brenda Eden!

We’ll contact you early next week to arrange sending your Bundle of Joy card.

Now for this week’s edition:

dinosaurs

Design: Dinosaurs

Artist: Julia Rothman

Inspiration: Big ideas abound when there’s dinosaurs around!

Who to send it to: For a big birthday for a little guy, terrible lizards make for terrific cards.

Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one:  A surfer stegosaurus on a card that read “Cretaceous, Dude!” But we realized that was waaay bogus.

Favorite detail: The absence of T-Rex lets a little big guy fill in the big blank with a big roar!

Why letterpress: Dinos left some impressive fossilized prints behind— similarly, our ancient technology will withstand the test of time.

Don’t forget to post your comment, and tune in next week, same time, different stationery, to see if you’ve won!

Seattle-ites Kim and Chris sure do know how to throw a party! The couple recently wed at a stunning private home in Palm Springs, complete with fabulous pool and beautiful landscaped grounds.

Each guest was welcomed with a grapefruit vodka cooler in a Cat Studio “Palm Springs” glass, which were later used (washed, of course!) as the couple’s favors. Such a cute idea!

Kim and Chris chose our Mi Amor Save the Date – the bright colors are perfect for this summer event!

There were so many fun details – we especially love these sparkly initials used on the bride and grooms chairs.

All the flowers were purchased from Trader Joe’s and arranged by Kim’s aunt. She also made Kim’s headpiece – what a talented lady to have in the family!

Kim and Chris cut their Bristol Farms cake with a saber that belonged to Chris’ grandfather. All of his kids and grandkids have used it at their weddings. The cake topper was the one Kim’s grandparents used on their cake sixty years ago!

Now for this week’s edition:

bundle_of_joy

Design: Bundle of Joy

Artist: Anna Hurley

Inspiration: We don’t quite know how it happened—  something in the water, or a glimmer in the eye— it felt like the idea just fell out of the sky.

Who to send it to: A couple whose wish was granted—that the stork has landed.

Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: We had a version of the card with a weary looking stork carrying triplets, reading: “Stork Up and Save!”

Favorite detail: We like how the skyline could be most anywhere, but it has a mix of San Francisco urban and Scandinavian flair.

Why Letterpress? You’d be stork raving mad not to send or stock such striking stationery!

Don’t forget to post your comment, and tune in next week, same time, different stationery, to see if you’ve won!

We’ve sent plenty of wedding stationery out into the world, but its such a treat when the photos come back to us and we get to see how it all comes together on the big day!  We just got a surprise delivery of these gorgeous snaps of Erin and Mark’s wedding from Michelle Warren Photography for which we designed the initial invitations.

Love the sweet and unique details!

Erin and Mark set up a photo booth with glam velvet curtains and used our chalk word bubbles as props!

The couple’s original wedding invitation was from our Naturalist suite.  The bird icon was carried over into their wedding program where they used torn fabric to bind the pages together.  The epitome of causal simplicity!

Sometimes the cutest cards start with the simplest of ideas.  Kendel was having a kitchen bridal shower and wanted to send out invites that were playful and fun along with recipe cards so her guests could share their favorite dishes.  We love the tiny faces on the bowl and spoon reminiscent of our Big Day rsvp cards and Type(face) thank you cards.

We also created custom artwork to be printed on aprons for the party.  Eunice did a few sketches, scanned in the best one, and got to work designing the most adorable illustration!

How darling is that apron?  I’m sure the ladies looked fabulous and had a blast cooking and sharing recipes!

Check out these beautiful wedding photos posted on Two Bright Lights! Katie and Ashley’s May wedding took place at the Maple Grove Inn in Knoxville, Tennessee – the deep greens and luscious flower bouquets are oozing romance.

The couple turned the heart + initials icon found on the original Thank You Card into a light display inside their reception tent. They also used the invitation icon as the cover of their guest book – brilliant!
