The three winners from last week are (drum roll, please): Grace, Jen B. and Jenna! We’ll contact you next week to arrange sending your Three Ring Circus card.

Design: Inchworms
Artist: Anna Hurley
Inspiration: Spring has been inching our way!
Who to send it to: Someone who swoons at daylight savings, who balances eggs on the equinox, who cries when the crocuses finally arrive, who dances in the daffodils… and who shares some measure of that joy with you.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: The mayfly & cicada version was a little overwhelming and we made sure the mosquito Mother’s Day card never made it off the ground.
Favorite detail: Love how the toadstools and ladybugs shop at the same itty bitty boutique.
Why letterpress? Letterpress packs the most loveliness per inch!

Don’t forget to post your comment and tune in next week, same time, different stationery, to see if you’ve won!

The three winners from last week are (drum roll, please): Lauren, Loretta and Leah! We’ll contact you next week to arrange sending your Thinking of You card.

Design: Love Birds
Artist: Esther Aarts
Inspiration: We suppose she just had a rosy, bubbly, layered and lovely, golden day!
Who to send it to: A pair of proud peacocks, a new pink and bluesome—twosome, the toasts of the town, or a gifted and gorgeous guy and gal!
Favorite detail: So hard to choose one, but we can’t say enough about how Esther knows how to rock her fab fonts!
Why letterpress? It’s the icing on the cake!

Don’t forget to post your comment and tune in next week, same time, different stationery, to see if you’ve won!

The three winners from last week are (drum roll, please): Luke Stanton, Irma M and Robin! We’ll contact you next week to arrange sending your Just Married card.

Design: Thinking of You
Artist: Eunice Moyle
Inspiration: We just got to thinkin’. We thought it was a nice notion to think about thinkin’. And thinkin’ of someone hard enough to be inspired to send a card is a rare, beautiful thing.
Who to send it to: Someone you forgot to remember to forget, someone who’s on your mind all the time, or just an old friend, relative or loved one you want to drop a line.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one:  “Hare’s Looking at You, Kid” with a Humphrey Bogart-ish hare regarding a baby goat— wasn’t sure where that one was going.
Favorite detail: Love how the flower stems show through the translucent fuchsia vase.
Why letterpress? How better to stay in touch than with something so tangible?

Don’t forget to post your comment and tune in next week, same time, different stationery, to see if you’ve won!

Design: Nuts for You
Artist: Eunice Moyle
Inspiration: We all get a little nutty when it comes to Valentine design!
Who to send it to: Someone you makes you feel a little squirrely, or someone who’s cute and fuzzy and knows that squirrels just want to have fun.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: The chipmunk version’s cheeks were a little unflattering, the mouse version was a little mousy, the vole was too vole-uptuous and the mole was, well, you know.
Favorite detail: Love the handmade heart turtleneck.
Why letterpress? How else could that sweater look so neatly pressed?

Design: Biggest Fan
Artist: Eunice Moyle
Inspiration: This idea was so easy and breezy, it felt like it wafted in through the window.
Who to send it to: Someone who puts the wind in your sails and makes your day fresh and light.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: The “Space Heater” metaphor left us a little cold. And air-conditioners are simply not romantic.
Favorite detail: The little bit of lift in the hearts gives our hearts a big lift.
Why letterpress? For vintage fans, only vintage presses will do.

Design: Warm Things
Artist: Eunice Moyle
Inspiration: We were skating on thin ice fishing for ideas, scraping by on a slippery slope, but after we thought of warm things it was all downhill from there.
Who to send it to: Someone who’s a little wild and wooly, seasonably squirrelly or just a real deer.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: The words “sock it to me” repeated in a dense pattern with a myriad of mismatched socks.
Favorite detail: Don’t we all want a squirrel patch scarf?
Why letterpress? The ice-be-gone scraper is a lovely and homely little reality check— another crisp detail made possible through letterpress.

good_luck

Design: Good Luck
Artist: Eunice Moyle
Inspiration: We thought we’d share a little luck on 11-11-11! Make a wish!
Who to send it to: Anyone with a name like Sailor Jerry, Big Mike or Charlie.
Ideas we scrapped in favor of this one: “Luck, Be a Lady” with a Sailor Jerry style hula girl wearing a rubber dice bikini was a little too much.
Favorite detail: The heart die is to die for.
