When we featured Kendel and Brian’s wedding earlier this summer we were dying to see more. Their stunning San Francisco event blew us away with outstanding views, impeccable reception decor and modern camp theme. 100 Layer Cake saved the day because their story about Kendel and Brian’s wedding brought back all the wonderful memories of the spectacular wedding.
These close-ups of their custom designed stationery reveal more of the modern details. Kendel and Brian wanted a modern campground look mixed with a little rustic charm, so we printed their invitations on wood veneer and paired them with a papaya striped reply card.
The team at Alison Events truly outdid themselves. This reception tent is breathtaking.
Their wedding suite was so popular we decided to offer it to all our customers. Hearts and Arrows can be customized to match your wedding colors and you can even request personalized place cards like the colorful cards shown above!
And what can we say about the floral arrangements by Brown Paper Design? Those bursting peach and fuchsia peonies scattered along the tables are pure perfection.

This real wedding was introduced to us by our wholesale manager, Heather. She shared these images of her friends Haley and James’ California wedding and we were immediately overcome with giddy wedding bliss. From all the perfect DIY details to the pure beauty of the bride and groom, this wedding is simply magical.
We must start off with the colorful photography by multi-talented Kate Miss. Her blog is a great source of inspiration so we were excited to hear she was the photographer at this wedding. Next, how about these amazing life sized tissue flowers? It sets the perfect backdrop for an already beautiful venue (Northstar in Tahoe, CA). Full instructions can be found over at Design Sponge.
One of our favorite details has to be the yarn wrapped vases that the bride and her bridesmaids made from our Handmade Weddings book. Since Haley and James’ wedding day was all about color, they fit in nicely amongst the rest of the display.
Isn’t this a good looking group of women? All the bridesmaids dresses are vintage. Love how the colors of the dresses coordinate with the decor!
The brides beautiful dress was custom made by San Francisco based designer Kajan Padraig. We love the delicate lace sleeves!
This is what weddings are all about. Having fun with your loved ones.
Thanks to Heather for sharing these photos and thanks to the bride and groom for representing our yarn wrapped vases! We truly love to see our projects come to life. For more photos, head over to Kate Miss’ blog For Me, For You.

There is a good reason why the word ‘Chic’ cannot be adequately translated into English; we simply just don’t do it as well as the French! Virgine and Antoine both live in London and wanted to take some of the elements of their life here to their May wedding in Paris, mainly in the form of a black London taxi! We just love the way the photographer has managed to capture the mix of the formal and informal in these stunning photos of the happy couple who seem to have the whole city to themselves!
The reception was a little out of the city at the Manoir de Gressy where the more rural setting provided a beautiful contrast to the city and where Virginie chose an elegant restricted palette of cool greys and silver with just white flowers and green foliage in simple domed bunches. For their stationery they chose to have a customized version of our London Skyline, which we adapted to have the Paris skyline alongside.
We produced the table signs showing either London Tube stations or Paris Metro stops and Virginie also designed a wonderful 32 page booklet herself with graphic images of the two different cultures – The Gherkin vs. Tour Eiffel, Pimms vs. Ricard, Macaron vs. Cupcake etc.!
A customized photo booth with the somewhat Banksy-esque gun-toting Queen along with a host of props allowed the guests to create some memorable photographs of the big day.
Nous remercions Virginie et Antoine d’avoir partage ses photo avec nous. Nous tenons a leur souhaiter beaucoupde bohneur pour leur futur.
After a true tale of travels, Marie and Sam tied the knot at the heavenly Farm Kitchen in Poulsbo, Washington near their hometown of Bainbridge Island. Their story of friendship, love, and forever is truly endearing, and after seeing these lovely photos by Yvonne Wong it’s obvious the two were meant to be right from the start. We’ve seen weddings at the Farm Kitchen before, all with a rustic barnyard invitation, but Marie and Sam chose to use a more romantic design for their big day. They customized our Nouveau Peonies suite with just a hint of purple and we love the outcome.
Set among a field of perfectly pruned flowers, it was only natural to include floral arrangements wherever possible. This cake by Blackbird Bakery could be the most perfect combination of rustic elegance we’ve ever seen!
We’re delighted the couple chose us to create their wedding stationery. Congratulations Marie and Sam! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness. For more photos head over to Style Me Pretty!

This real wedding really represents the color pink at its best. With subtle hues of rose and blossom it was all pulled together wonderfully. Lauren and Nick wed at the Healdsburg Country Gardens on a sunny day last September and it could possibly be the sweetest wine country wedding we’ve seen. We love that the couple chose to use traditional elements in a natural and rustic environment. And the stunning floral bouquets by Blue Orchid Floral really topped it off. You can see more photos of this lovely vineyard wedding over on Wedding Chicks!
Our Vintage Lace wedding invitation complimented the couples’ vintage feminine theme. The pop of color in the blossom envelope added a little fun to the mix, too.

Sometimes it only takes a glance at a few photos to fall in love with a place all over again. This stunning modern wedding has tradition and class written all over it, and with the help of the talented team at Dream a Little Dream events, it all came together perfectly. Jessica and Brandon shared their love in front of family and friends last May at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Complete with stoic columns and beautiful sculptures, their wedding day looks like it belongs in a book of art. Who wouldn’t want to say their vows among such memorable history?
To keep in theme with their traditional black and white wedding, the couple chose to use our San Francisco Skyline menu cards and place cards with variable printed guest names.
As a fun keepsake, we printed a large scale guest book sign with the San Francisco Skyline for guests to leave notes and well wishes. We’re now offering a free folded guest book sign with all of your favorite designs including the San Francisco Skyline. Check it out here!
A big congratulations to Jessica and Brandon! To see more spectacular photos of this event, head over to Dream a Little Dream!

This sweet farm wedding comes from no other place than I Love Farm Weddings. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Farm Kitchen in Poulsbo, Washington among the roaring evergreens and colorful wildflowers. It’s easy to see how much love this couple shares for each other and their families. With playful travel themed wedding decor and a big red barn to boot, this wedding is one for the books!
The couple customized our Heartland wedding invitation suite, which fitted their wedding venue perfectly. The red barns are almost identical!
Don’t these gelato boats look scrumptious? Herban Feast catered the event and provided their own rustic farm presentation.

Finding the right words to describe this real wedding is a bit of a challenge because every image takes our breath away. Jennifer and Rishi celebrated their marriage at the stunning Carneros Inn in Napa Valley and truly embraced their cultural heritage with a Hindu/Christian hybrid wedding. Along with their talented event designer Laurel Anderson of Esla Events the couple put together one of the most heartwarming events we’ve ever seen. The combination of Hindu and Christian traditional garments, the soft blossom and sage color palette, the incredible scenery and delicious local wine and foods make up one spectacular celebration. One that we’re sure will inspire many future brides.
We recreated one of our archived designs into a modern invitation that would flatter both the Hindu and Christian ceremonies. The invitations matched the scenery of the location and the gorgeous floral arrangements by Crimson Horticulture Rarities.

Is this possibly the most beautiful envelope you’ve ever seen? The bold cobalt paper, the warm persimmon ink, these complementary colors work magic. It comes from one exceptional Los Angeles artist, Plurabelle Calligraphy. Molly (the owner and creative mastermind) has a collection of work that is simply to die for, so we are delighted to feature her on our blog. Molly has made quite an impact on today’s calligraphy customs by giving a modern spin on the traditional art form, or dare we say, a calligraphy facelift!
You’ll find on her website that there are various lettering styles to choose from, but we’re really liking the combination of vintage and modern in one.
This graphic East London wedding back in 2010 caught our attention when we saw that Plurabelle Calligraphy hand wrote each guest name on the Visit London invitations, along with the adorable “Socks for bowling” signs.
To view more photos of this fabulous East London wedding head over to OMG I’m Getting Married (love that title!)
And don’t forget to visit Plurabelle Calligraphy!
