Extra! Extra! Yesterday we received a special delivery with the soon-to-be-released September 2011 issue of Brides Magazine! We always love to browse Brides’ perfectly groomed pages for inspiration and fresh ideas. The September issue is packed full of glamorous wedding gowns, delicious cakes, and smart tips to make your big day a cinch! They also included an article titled “The Ultimate Guide to Table Stationery,” and we were thrilled to have a few of our designs featured.
Our Whimsy menu, Big Day place cards, and Evelyn table number shined among other amazing pieces by super-talented designers.
We always encourage creativity when preparing for a table display, and we’ve seen a number of beautiful arrangements in the past. Whether you choose tented place cards, personalized menus, or framed table numbers – there is always room to spruce up the presentation. Simply placing a card in a pool of jellybeans creates a playful and colorful display, like these bright pink and orange custom cards below!
The September 2011 issue will be on newsstands soon and we just know you’ll love it as much as we do!

One of the many perks of working in a letterpress studio is the access to the presses (and quality printers!). Kristine and Christina both fell in love with the same personal stationery design, but put their own unique twist on the concept. Christina’s version (above) features a “from the desk of” line along with a feather motif, while Kristine (below) favored a more simple approach.

Both designs were hand-printed on our 1950′s Vandercook press.

Now get to those handwritten notes girls!
The girls at the Collection Event Studio recently visited our SoMa studio and shared a behind the scenes glimpse into the bustling world of Hello!Lucky! We love to browse their blog for creative inspiration, and are always amazed by their stunning collection of wedding and event resources. They snapped such lovely photos of our office, here are some of our favorites:
Meet our ravishing sales team! This handsome lad and three lovely ladies are the best when it comes to planning your special day!
And how adorable are their business cards?

Whether charming, rustic, romantic, or sweet, the brilliance involved with this wedding for our overseas friends, Lisa and Rory is really something! We’re currently putting together their day-of wedding materials – it’s really coming together!
These vintage style pub signs are getting cut out and used as table numbers!
Say cheese! These tiny cheese signs will be dashing on display.
Each guest will have a program paddle fan to keep them cool! These are really turning out to be one of our signature products!
It’s summertime! For us, that means we’re busy producing materials to be used at summer weddings, including programs, place cards, and table top decorations. We love to see how an invitation design can be translated to day-of wedding decor, especially when customized to match the wedding colors. Our Architecture invitation looks striking as a table number (above) and a welcome drink sign (below).
These tented signs work great as double-sided menus – one side for hors-d’oeuvres and and the other for cocktails!
We like to use a bone folder to fold each place card, guaranteeing an even score. Its all in the details, after all!
Happy birthday to Lia, happy birthday to yooouuu! The Hello!Lucky staff has quite the lineup of summer birthdays. It seems as though every week we’ve gathered sweet treats and savory snacks back in our break area to celebrate. Last Friday’s festivities were dedicated to Lia, one of our dearest sales consultants. Lia, the head of the sales team, has been with us since 2009. We love her sparkling charm and unwavering expertise. And check out the spread! French cheeses, fresh fruit, homemade Spanish tapas (we may have to start celebrating half-birthdays, too!)
Make a wish!
Happy birthday Lia! Cheers to another fun and fabulous year!
We’ve always loved our Visit Series created with Lab Partners so we just about fainted when we saw these babies on press today. Watch out LA – we’ve got stunning 3-color letterpress Visit Los Angeles save the dates and wedding invites ready to make an impression (pun very much intended)!
This shot gets up close and personal showing an inked plate moments before it presses into the paper.
Two colors printed, and one more to go!
Each new color requires that the machine be cleaned, re-inked and fitted with a new plate. Here invites-in-progress wait patiently to be pressed into wedding perfection.
Can you guess which designs these will turn out to be? Okay we’ll spill, its Visit Texas and Visit Chicago!
Adding the second color to Visit Chicago brings out details in the train and fountain.
We can’t wait to see what new details will come out when the third color is added!
We LOVE walking to the farmers market each week and coming up with new recipes to share. How gorgeous are these colors! Wouldn’t a Summer wedding be perfect with jars of fresh herbs instead of flowers at each place setting or tucked into a fragrant bouquet?
Eunice and Sabrina are featured in the latest issue of Anthology, and we had to share a little taste!

The article shares a snippet of how the sisters’ distinct personalities and tastes have molded their work and living spaces.

Did you notice the Joel Dewberry-designed backdrop from Eunice and Daniel’s wedding? That’s part of our Woodland Damask wedding invitation design— how great that she’s re-purposed it as a bohemian-style faux window in her living room. Love it!

Sabrina’s style is more graphic modern, and a lovely contrast.
There’s so much more to read and see at the Anthology site.
Enjoy!
