We were recently lucky enough to make a special trip to the San Francisco Flower Mart to drop off some wedding invitations to a wedding planner we work with. We love going to the Flower Mart and could spend all day in there!
The Flower Mart is where wedding vendors and other professionals can get locally grown flowers direct from growers at wholesale prices. It’s always such a treat walking through the Mart and we thought it would be fun to show you some behind the scenes photos, including prep for the wedding we did the invites for. Enjoy!
Last night a few of us from Hello!Lucky put on our party dresses and attended the grand opening of the new Vera Wang Bridal Boutique in San Francisco. We sipped champagne and oogled over the pretty dresses on display.
The boutique is in a beautiful location overlooking Union Square and we can only imagine how special it would be for a bride to have her fittings in such a stunning setting.
These photos don’t do the gorgeous gowns justice, but we wanted to share our snapshots from the evening. If you’re a bride in San Francisco looking for that perfect gown this boutique should be the first place you visit!

Weddings at the Bear Flag Farm can never disappoint. The beautiful couple Bailey and Erik said their vows among some of the most breathtaking scenery, and their wedding details were just as perfect. Our Lavender Harvest invitation suite was a nice introduction to the event, especially because of the lush lavender field nearby.
In addition to the crazy gorgeous location, Bear Flag Farm also coordinated the design and florals for the event. The succulents add a deep texture to these cheerful bouquets, making them a lovely addition to the decor.
It was important to the couple that fresh, delicious foods were incorporated into their big day. With cuisine by Alex’s Catering in Vallejo, everything was complete!
Congratulations Bailey and Erik! To view more images of their wedding, head over to Style Me Pretty.

Do you remember this exquisite English countryside wedding of Lisa and Rory? It was recently featured (with a huge spread!) in Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Bride with pages full of gorgeous photos, insider information, and all the classic details that made the event so memorable. We had loads of fun working with the charming couple, and are over the moon about the great publicity their wedding has received. Congrats Lisa and Rory!
Sometimes wedding themes tend to get lost in an accumulation of decor, furniture, venue, etc, but this real wedding featured on Green Wedding Shoes is consistently lovely. Inspired by the fashion brand Free People, the bride and groom put together a delicate and whimsical outdoor event, fit with all the right details. A blend of feminine and bohemian style with neutral colors created a casual vibe, but we love how the quirky details make it so unique. Stacy and Adam, along with their wedding planners Sitting in a Tree Events, hit the nail on the head with their Free People wedding.
The couple chose our Cross Stitch wedding invitation, designed by Susy Jack, in a soft champagne and charcoal color combination. It matched well with the bridesmaids cream gowns and the overall decor.
The dream catchers were a nice touch, adding a fun textural element to the place settings. We love the retro place mats, too!
Congratulations Stacy and Adam! To view more photos, head over to Green Wedding Shoes.

This wedding featured on Wedding Chicks last month keeps reminding us of how a wedding should be. It is simple but colorful, traditional but unique, and casual but exquisite. Karen and Dan’s Marin Headlands wedding took place this summer at the Headlands Center for the Arts, creating a gorgeous and almost secluded setting for their big day. We’re really liking the way the couple mixed modern elements with rustic accessories, like these amazing booths at the ceremony. The splashes of yellow popping up throughout their event kept things bright and fun.
Lucky Luxe printed their vintage inspired handkerchief invitations, all in various color palettes.
To keep guests and themselves amused, the couple wanted their RSVP cards in the form of a madlib, so we were thrilled they chose us to custom design the cards. What a great way to get geared up for a big party!
We also printed their menu cards, place cards, and food signage with a simple flourished border.
Such an incredible spread. The catering was provided by Katie Powers Catering and included some sentimental treats from the couple’s past.
Sending a big congratulations to Karen and Dan! Many well wishes to you in your future as husband and wife.

When we featured Kendel and Brian’s wedding earlier this summer we were dying to see more. Their stunning San Francisco event blew us away with outstanding views, impeccable reception decor and modern camp theme. 100 Layer Cake saved the day because their story about Kendel and Brian’s wedding brought back all the wonderful memories of the spectacular wedding.
These close-ups of their custom designed stationery reveal more of the modern details. Kendel and Brian wanted a modern campground look mixed with a little rustic charm, so we printed their invitations on wood veneer and paired them with a papaya striped reply card.
The team at Alison Events truly outdid themselves. This reception tent is breathtaking.
Their wedding suite was so popular we decided to offer it to all our customers. Hearts and Arrows can be customized to match your wedding colors and you can even request personalized place cards like the colorful cards shown above!
And what can we say about the floral arrangements by Brown Paper Design? Those bursting peach and fuchsia peonies scattered along the tables are pure perfection.

This real wedding was introduced to us by our wholesale manager, Heather. She shared these images of her friends Haley and James’ California wedding and we were immediately overcome with giddy wedding bliss. From all the perfect DIY details to the pure beauty of the bride and groom, this wedding is simply magical.
We must start off with the colorful photography by multi-talented Kate Miss. Her blog is a great source of inspiration so we were excited to hear she was the photographer at this wedding. Next, how about these amazing life sized tissue flowers? It sets the perfect backdrop for an already beautiful venue (Northstar in Tahoe, CA). Full instructions can be found over at Design Sponge.
One of our favorite details has to be the yarn wrapped vases that the bride and her bridesmaids made from our Handmade Weddings book. Since Haley and James’ wedding day was all about color, they fit in nicely amongst the rest of the display.
Isn’t this a good looking group of women? All the bridesmaids dresses are vintage. Love how the colors of the dresses coordinate with the decor!
The brides beautiful dress was custom made by San Francisco based designer Kajan Padraig. We love the delicate lace sleeves!
This is what weddings are all about. Having fun with your loved ones.
Thanks to Heather for sharing these photos and thanks to the bride and groom for representing our yarn wrapped vases! We truly love to see our projects come to life. For more photos, head over to Kate Miss’ blog For Me, For You.

After a true tale of travels, Marie and Sam tied the knot at the heavenly Farm Kitchen in Poulsbo, Washington near their hometown of Bainbridge Island. Their story of friendship, love, and forever is truly endearing, and after seeing these lovely photos by Yvonne Wong it’s obvious the two were meant to be right from the start. We’ve seen weddings at the Farm Kitchen before, all with a rustic barnyard invitation, but Marie and Sam chose to use a more romantic design for their big day. They customized our Nouveau Peonies suite with just a hint of purple and we love the outcome.
Set among a field of perfectly pruned flowers, it was only natural to include floral arrangements wherever possible. This cake by Blackbird Bakery could be the most perfect combination of rustic elegance we’ve ever seen!
We’re delighted the couple chose us to create their wedding stationery. Congratulations Marie and Sam! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness. For more photos head over to Style Me Pretty!

Did you see this charming boho wedding shoot on Green Wedding Shoes? It was styled by Karin Kamb of Clever Girl Consulting and photographed by none other than Edyta Szyszlo. The sultry green backdrop of the Mendocino Farmhouse paired with the neutral organic elements of the clothing and decor made for a comfortable and romantic setting. The models are local folk singers, too, which made their connection seem so perfect.
Eunice designed a brand new wedding suite for the shoot, appropriately titled Bluegrass. It’s still in the works but will be available on our website soon!
